Romsey path gravel has a clay base that binds together the gravel to create a hard standing. Spread approximately 50mm layer over compacted sub base, leaving about 10-15mm above required height for compaction. For best results gravel should be dampened down to aid binding. After a good rain, the gravel will consolidate leaving a golden brown colour.
